Wellness at the heart of a hyper-convenient lifestyle.

Wellness at the heart of a hyper-convenient lifestyle.

Best of class gymnasiums and fitness centres play a significant role in delivering HomeCo’s hyper-convenience strategy.

Some of Australia’s fastest-growing and most progressive brands in fitness and wellbeing now have a presence in over a third of the national HomeCo portfolio of retail centres. Brands including Goodlife, EMF, Livewell, World Gym, Plus Fitness and Anytime Fitness have opened new facilities within HomeCo across NSW, VIC, QLD and WA. Goodlife at HomeCo Bundall has now opened and represents one of the company’s most modern gyms, while EMF has partnered with two HomeCo centres in QLD.

Wellness has always been a central platform of the innovative HomeCo retail model. David Di Pilla, Chairman of Home Consortium explains: “People of all ages frequent gyms at all times of the day. From mums and dads enjoying a workout while the kids are at school, to seniors who are increasingly focussed on sustaining long-term health and mobility, to office workers getting a quick fitness session in outside of business hours or during a lunch break. The ability for people to supplement their wellness experience with the convenience of daily needs or lifestyle shopping, while also enjoying free and easy parking, was a completely logical benefit that simply isn’t available as readily as you’d imagine.”

The benefits extend beyond convenience to the commerciality of the centres themselves. The visitation and foot traffic generated by successful and popular fitness centres throughout the day has a flow on effect to other retailers, as well as food and beverage operators within the centre. In turn, some retailers, such as Chemist Warehouse, complement the wellness platform by offering a substantial array of health supplements and wellness products.

It’s a recipe for the long term health of HomeCo customers and retail partners.
